Done Waiting

A Poem from the Uprising

June 25, 2020

They say to wait our turn that if we just shut up and earn

Their spoils of our labor will all trickle down

They say to wait and dull the strikes sound

Dialing down the volume on struggle for our freedom

“It just takes time you see change aint easy”

But its just cheesy, the talking poits of pigs who’ve had their fill

Whose politics and policy have kept us ill

Their spoils of our labor will all trickle down

They say we cant have justice, not yet

But againt the working class, they’ve lost this bet

They say equity is too inflamatory, sustainability a fantasy

When will Workers see, that all our power rests in the chains that bind us together

We the People are Done Waiting
